FDA Approved Medical Weight Loss Treatment

 Most of us have tried one (if not many) of the diet/weight loss fads that are out there. In this trial it was observed that a major side effect of this medication was weight loss! With further trials, it was shown that this drug had very few side effects and was safe. Semaglutide is a glucagon like peptide (GLP)-1 inhibitor that works in the body to increase the amount of insulin and reduce the amount of glucagon that is being produced. This in turn will increase your body’s ability to metabolize sugars. This process delays gastric emptying, which causes appetite suppression, which will in turn lead to smaller portion sizes and less cravings.
